The Kangalee Arts Ensemble, led by our Advisory Board member and Artists in Action fellow Dennis Leroy Kangalee, was recently awarded an artist initiative grant from the Venturous Theater Fund for: My Dying City Vol. II (The Social Justice Suicide Hour). Picking up where the ensemble left off with its previous production, The Life & Death of Art, this combustible chamber drama charts the dark night of the soul of a Left-wing activist couple who mourn the loss of their son, wondering if revolution will ever come. Personal, political, and poetic, My Dying City Vol.II will run for ten performances at the American Theatre of Actors from January 15 - 25, 2026. Tickets can be purchased here.
