We are delighted to partner with the Working Theater to jointly support the inspiring playwright, **Alex Lin. In addition to being a Playwright-in-Residence at Working Theater, Alex will be an Artist in Action Fellow at The Action Lab **where she will share her keen exploration of the American Steel Industry with communities fighting for social justice. The Artists in Action Fellowship aims to further cultivate the relationship between art and social justice by connecting artists to organizers and organizers to artists. We want artists like Alex to play a more tangible role in our push toward liberation as well as provide organizers with new creative tools for their arsenal. We know Alex will help spark the kind of creativity and magnetism we need to build more effective movements for meaningful social change and look forward to helping build the audiences for her powerful work.

Alex Lin is a playwright and actor from New Jersey whose work has been developed at prestigious theaters like Roundabout, Second Stage, NYTW, and South Coast Rep. She has performed at venues including Actors Theatre of Louisville, New Victory, and Commonwealth Shakespeare. A Stavis Award winner and Susan Smith Blackburn Prize finalist, Alex also guest lectures at CMU, Rutgers, and Union College. We’re excited to have her at The Action Lab!
