The Action Lab is excited to welcome Nasreen Jilani, our new Director of Development. With over 20 years of experience in fundraising, cross-departmental collaboration, and staff support, Nasreen is a strategic leader dedicated to advancing racial justice and social change.

Nasreen's most recent role was as Vice President of Development at 9to5, where she successfully raised over $50 million and grew the organization's budget from $600,000 to over $7 million. Her innovative fundraising strategies, which included institutional and individual giving, peer-to-peer campaigns, and major gifts, have driven critical improvements for communities of color. She also led a team-wide fundraising campaign that resulted in a sevenfold increase in revenue. She has extensive experience working across departmental teams, including finance, program, and communications, to align fundraising strategies with organizational priorities. Nasreen is based in Atlanta but will be up to NYC in two weeks. Welcome to The Action Lab, Nasreen!
