Kara Gilmour
Kara Gilmour is the Founding Executive Director of the Janet Fish Foundation, where she provides strategic and operational leadership to advance the artistic legacy and institutional recognition of artists Janet Fish and Charles Parness.
Previously, Gilmour served as Executive Director of BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange, a multigenerational arts organization nurturing creative expression and artistic process through education, residencies, and performance at the intersection of arts and social justice.
Before BAX, she was Senior Director of Community Action and Strategic Initiatives at Gibney, where she built partnerships with artists, survivors of intimate partner violence, and disabled dancers, and led initiatives that connected artistic practice with social justice and community engagement.
