Nara Roberta Silva

Nara Roberta Silva is a core faculty member and Praxis Program head at Brooklyn Institute for Social Research, where she teaches about social movements, race, and social theory. Originally from Brazil and born in a working-class family, Nara believes education is vital to achieving personal and social transformation. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring, supporting her students to unveil the contradictions of the world, and learning more from the dialogues with them.
