The Winning Tenant Power Convenging brought together a dynamic group of advocates, organizers, and experts in Ossining, NY, on January 25 and 26. This collaborative gathering focused on developing strategies to realize a housing system founded on the principles of decommodification, deep affordability, and democratic management. Attendees engaged in deep discussions about organizing and policy frameworks that support mass tenant unions and lay the groundwork for robust social housing. The event underscored the centrality of building tenant power at scale if we are to realize our goal of housing being treated as a fundamental human right.
