** **On September 14, 2024, the **Youth to the Future (Jóvenes Al Futuro) **concert and festival was held at Vivo Beach Club, convened by the Prende Tu Voto coalition, of which La Tejedora Initiative is a part along with nine other organizations that offer services to young people. As a preamble to the concert, an electoral registration day was held aimed at young people between 18 and 35 years old. On the registration day, we managed to serve around 150 people who wanted to register, reactivate and/or change direction to unite their voices and participate in the upcoming November elections. The concert featured the hosts and influencers Tatyana Trujillo, Kiko Blade & Eyra Agüero, and 13 local artists and bands from Puerto Rico also participated, including Chuwi, Mima, Rafa Pabón, etc. The concert was attended by 2,000+ young people who had their voting card since in order to attend the event you had to be registered to vote. It was a night of lots of music, youth and hope!

Op-Ed | Building a city that values home-based providers

Years ago, New York City took its first steps toward expanding public child care with the creation of Pre-K and 3-K. Those investments changed lives. But as the city expanded access, too many family child care providers — the home-based educators who have long anchored their communities — were left behind.
