About this event

Join us as we watch a classic lecture by Stuart Hall— delivered on the 100th anniversary of Karl Marx’s passing—in which he wrestles with Marx’s legacy, not as dogma, but as a living, breathing method for analyzing the contradictions of capitalist society.

Hall takes us through key Marxist concepts likehistorical development, exploitation, alienation, and the organization of social life, all whileinsisting on the need to connect economy withpolitics, culture, and our humanity.

In today’s complex political environment, Hall’s lecture is a revitalizing force that helps us reject rote interpretations of Marx and instead apply a more dynamic Marxist analysis so we can organize more effectively.
