The Action Lab believes in the power of films to help spark ideas and change! We were thrilled to host several screenings of the new documentary American Agitators Fall 2025, including a big screening at NYU on September 18. The film captures the remarkable story of organizing for change in the U.S. through the work of Fred Ross, Sr, as well as movement icons like Dolores Huerta and current-day organizers, all of whom have devoted their lives to the pursuit of justice and equality. For over 50 years, Ross led a groundbreaking organizing approach that improved the lives of thousands and reverberates in organizing strategies today. The documentary demonstrates the power of member-led movements built through patience and listening.
